This event offers a variety of themed hiking programs, including a “Performance Hiking” and a “Family Hiking", allowing both Seoul citizens and international visitors to enjoy hiking together during the peak of the autumn foliage season.
On November 15 (Sat), the festival will open with an opening ceremony followed by the Performance Hiking, where participants wear hanbok or hanbok-inspired outfits and accessories and hike up Namsan together under the concept of Joseon-era hikers.
Along the hiking trail, participants will enjoy various traditional performances such as madangnori (traditional outdoor plays), walking plays featuring Korean folktales, and surprise events that add a unique touch of entertainment to the hike.
On the same day, the closing ceremony for the Global Hiking Mate, Seoul’s international hiking tourism supporters, will also take place.
Among the 100 active members of the Global Hiking Mate who have participated throughout the year, those who have completed more than ten missions will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the CEO of the Seoul Tourism Organization.
The Global Hiking Mate program will resume with a new cohort in the first half of 2026.
On the second day, November 16 (Sun), a Challenge Hiking will be held, followed by the Family Hiking on November 22 (Sat) and the Yoga Hiking on November 23 (Sun). These diverse programs are designed for participants of all ages to enjoy hiking in various ways.
During the Challenge Hiking on November 16 (Sun), participants can choose between two Namsan trails of different difficulty levels. Those who post a verification photo with the challenge flag at designated points on social media will receive a completion certificate and hiking gear as souvenirs.
The Family Hiking on November 22 (Sat) will follow the Namsan barrier-free trail, allowing families with strollers and participants with limited mobility to join comfortably.
On November 23 (Sun), the Yoga Hiking will combine hiking with yoga and posture correction sessions before and after the hike, promoting a healthy lifestyle while walking through Namsan.
